Tree Plantation Drive - Earth Day Celebrations 2017
THE GREEN BRIGADE CLUB celebrated Earth day in the school in collaboration with Climate Change Reality Project, Paharpur business Centre and Earth Day Network on 21 April 2017. The Theme for this year Earth Day was Global Climate and Environmental Literacy.
The guests of honour for the event were -
  • His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles Mr. PHILLIPPE LE GALL
  • Mr.Sarvadaman Taori from Prithvi foundation .
  • Mr.Vijay Tiwari President Indo – Euro Chambers of Small and Medium Entrepreneurs.
  • Mr.S.K.Singhal Civil Engineer.
A short programme was conducted in the auditorium and the guests were felicitated.
Later ten Ashoka trees were planted in the school compound.

Independence Day Celebrations in School

The 70th Independence Day was celebrated in the school on August 11, 2016.The festivities began with the unfurling of National Flag by Principal, Nandita Sahu. The performance by the school choir filled the atmosphere with an air of patriotism. Students from the four houses participated in a well-coordinated march past. Students of Class II also took part in march past. The students of Nursery and KG celebrated the true spirit of patriotic fervor with a Peace March. A student from Class X presented a speech extolling the virtue of freedom. A fitting finale to the festivities was a dance performance by the students. Pragati house won the trophy for Best House- March Past. Principal, Nandita Sahu released birds in air as a symbol of peace and freedom. In her address to the school, the Principal congratulated everyone on this auspicious day and motivated students to feel proud to be an Indian and strive hard to save the honour of their country.

Republic day which was celeberated on 25 January 2016 in the school Premises.

Tagore International School, East of Kailash celeberated Republic Day on 25 January,2016 with great enthusiasm and vigour. A special assembly was conducted in the school.The assembly was traditionally initiated with the flag hoisting with everyone uniting in the chant 'Vande Mataram' followed by the National Anthem.Commencing the celeberation was a March Past by the four houses followed by the students of the school Cabinet handling their badges back to the Principal in the formal ceremony.To celeberate the undaunted spirit of India,there were speeches in English and Hindi,choreography items by the senior and the junior students and a musical rendition.Principal Ms. Nandita Sahu appreciated the efforts of the students and an air of engagement prevailed amongst the entire ceremony.

Farewell Ceremony which was organised By Class XI on 22 January 2016 in the school Premises.

On 22nd January 2016, the students of class XI, Tagore International School, East of Kailash, organized the farewell function for class XII and bid adieu to their seniors under guidance of our principal, Nandita Sahu ma’am.

The event was amazing and well organized. The presence of class XII boys in their formal attire and girls in dazzling sarees, increased the essence of the event. The students of class XI also donned in their stunning ethnic outfits.

The function began in the school ground at around 4:30 pm with music and a lot of dancing. This was followed by a mind-blowing dance performance by the students of class XI. In between, there were various rounds for the contestants to hunt for Mr. and Miss TIS. First event was the intro and catwalk round of 115 students. The selected 30 then walked the ramp gracefully. The last one ended with Question-Answer round. All the rounds were interesting and full of enjoyment. Then the students of class XI presented an exhilarating band performance.

The students enjoyed thoroughly. Fascinating titles were given to the best 22. Siddharth Sehgal of XII-C and Manya Mankotia of XII-A won the titles of Mr. and Ms. TIS respectively. A cake was cut to celebrate the same. After the endless dancing and eating out the delicious food, the event ended with the bidding goodbye by class XII students to all the students and teachers with a lot of sweet memories and looking forward to a splendid future.

Christmas Celeberation which was held on 23 December in the School Premises

Venue – School grounds, Tagore International School, East of Kailash.

A special assembly was organised in the school on the occasion of Id and Christmas. The assembly commenced with the Flag Hoisting ceremony followed by National Anthem, Gayatri Mantra, Lord’s Prayer, Id prayer and Christmas Carols. The middle school students delivered a speech on the occasion of Id. Some middle school students presented a dance performance. It was followed by a short skit based on the birth of Jesus Christ. The school Principal, in her address, emphasized on the importance of peace and togetherness and wished merry Christmas to the entire gathering.

WINTER CARNIVAL (FUN AND FROLIC) Which was held on 12 december in School Premises.

Tagore International School, East of Kailash held its biennial winter carnival on 12th December, 2015. The carnival was inaugurated by Ms Savita Gupta, ex mayor of Delhi and Mr. Ashwini Gupta, Municipal Councilor, South Delhi.

The celebration began at eleven o’clock in the morning and continued till nine o’clock in the evening. The students swarmed the rides while the Bhoot Bangla itself received a large crowd of daring spectators. Games stalls of classes included Feed the Mickey, Basket the Ball, The Golden Lady, Touch Me Not, Car Race and many more. The central attraction of the programme, however, was the jam session which was thronged by a large crowd. Moreover, henna and tatoos added glamour to the fiesta. To top it all was an array of mouthwatering eateries beckoning the crowd. There were a number of food stalls varying from street chaat to Dominos pizza and Dunkin Donuts.

A raffle was also organized and names of the lucky winners were announced by the Principal, Ms. Nandita Sahu, every two hours who secured exciting prizes for themselves and their families. Overall, the winter carnival was a grand event and the effort of the students, their teachers as well as the entire institution was much appreciated. The Principal, Ms. Nandita Sahu, appreciated the endeavors of the staff and students of the school in making the carnival a success. She also thanked the parent community for their co-operation and the management for their encouragement.


Special assembly on Guru Nanak Jayanti which was held on 24 november 2015 in our school premises.

The school celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion in a special assembly, extolling the virtues of the enlightened Guru. The programme began with Shabad recital by the School Choir. The students of Class V recited ‘Satnam Waheguru’ in a Prabhat Pheri that made everyone come together in the spiritual atmosphere. Two students of Class X presented a speech, touching upon the life and teachings of Guru Nanak and how he inspired everyone to lead a principled life. The Principal, Nandita Sahu in her address urged students to remember the virtues, as propounded by Guru Nanak and lead a life of harmony.


Diwali Celebrations

Tagore International School, East of Kailash, organized a special assembly on November 6th 2015, to celebrate Diwali. The festivities began with special song, presented by the school choir. Students presented poem, dance and performed a skit to highlight the importance and relevance of the festival of Diwali.

The assembly saw a special performance by teachers to celebrate Children’s Day. The students enjoyed the musical treat presented by their teachers. The teachers added more fun to gaieties, when they exhibited their acting prowess and dancing skills. The students greatly enjoyed the special performance put together by their teachers.
