Inclusive Education Programme: | |||||||||
As part of the school's community outreach initiative, a number of students from the National Blind Association are regular students of our school. The school provides computer education with a software called NVDA/JAWS that allows them to interact with the computer. The students have been integrated into the mainstream education system and are being taught in classrooms along with the other children. Active participation and involvement is elicited from them in all class activities. They do their daily assignments on their Braille or on their Laptops.Students from grade VI onwards take their exams via the computer. Special care is also taken to teach students with learning disability. They are tutored by a special educator in the 'Special Education Room' throughout the day. Another special educator visits the school every morning and conducts classes for children with special needs. They are taught with easy methods of learning so that they are at par with the other students.
