Tagoreans won Second prize in National Skit Competition

Tagoreans won the Second prize in the National Skit Competition on the theme “Human Being as the Central Value” and made school proud by their excellent performance on the topic “Aazaad Bharat” Ki Ghulaam Tasveer. Participants were:-

Winners at National World Scholars Cup competition

Two teams from our school participated in World Scholars Cup 2017 in Delhi-NCR round. Over 30 schools participated with over 100 teams. Team one comprising of Shrey Chhabra of X , Sanjeet Agarwal of IX and Aamod Mehrish of XI secured Second position overall. They also won first prize in Debating rounds, Second position in Scholars bowl and Second position in Scholars challenge. Individual, they were tested on various tasks such as, essay writing and debate and written tests on every subject. They won individual medals in almost every field. Sanjeet won 15 medals, Shrey won 13 medals and Aamod won 10 medals.

Team two comprising of Aaradhya Kukreja, Aakrit Bhargava of XI and V. Chaitanya of IX, won Second position in Essay Writing event, Third position in Debating and Third position in Scholars Challenge. They secured overall third position. Individually, V. Chaitanya bagged 13 medals, Aakrit won 12 medals and Aaradhya got 9 medals. Both the teams have qualified for Global round at Vietnam and have won 10 Trophies and 72 medals.

Tagoreans declared Overall Winner of Skimmer event at AWIM National Olympics 2017

AWIM- A World in Motion is an international event organized by SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) which aims to promote effective learning and understanding of science among young students. The competition is supported by Maruti Udyog Limited.

Tagoreans participated in the finals of the Skimmer event for class V and Jet Toy Car challenge for class VI, which was held in Hotel Maple Emerald, Gurugram from 06-08 January 2017. A total of 50 teams from 27 cities from all over India participated in this event. The team comprising of Sakina Nadeem, Raja Zeeshan Zeb of V B and Rehaan Ahmed and Jiya Chawla of V A was declared National Overall Winner in the Skimmer event. They also won the category awards for the maximum distance and turning ability. The team was also awarded a cash prize of Rs. 14000 for their brilliant performance.  Our student volunteer Saarthak Bhagat(Skimmer) also won the award for the Best Student Volunteer and a cash prize of Rs. 5000. Besides, the second team in the Jet Toy challenge for class VI comprising of Jahanvi Kumar, Joydeep Singh, Shrajith A. Natarajan of VI C and Vansh Saigal of VI A were also awarded the category award for sportsmanship in the Jet Toy Car event.

Promising Paddler-Ansh Bajaj

Ansh Bajaj of class VIII represented Delhi Table Tennis Team at 62nd School Games Federation of Table Tennis National Championship 2016-17 under 14 boys category. Delhi team secured Winners Trophy in the Championship, after defeating teams from Maharashtra and Gujarat at Thyagraj Sports Complex, New Delhi from 02 January 2017 to 09 January 2017

Rahul Basu, Abhishek Saxena and Siddhant Bakshi of class X participated in model making competition held in Sri Venkateshwara College and bagged first position. They were awarded a certificate and a cash prize of ₹ 1000/- each.

Madhav Gupta of V C & Eeshan Tripathi of V A won the first prize in the poster making competition organized by WWF on the theme ‘Evolution & Bio-diversity’ where students had to use recycled materials.

Bhavik Malik of V C and Lal Nunkimi of IV B won the third prize in the Poster Designing competition on the theme ‘World of Technology’, at Shritech organized by Shriram School, Gurgaon in the month of October 2016

Tagoreans won laurels @Robotronics organized by Amity International School

Robotronics an Interschool competition was organized by Amity International School, Gurgaon on 17 December 2016. Amadika Mahapatra and Sparsh Tanwar of VIII won the First prize. They made a poster on ‘Evolution of Robots’ through a set of given images in Photoshop.

In website designing, our team of Viraj Agashe and Yuvraj of IX won the Second prize. They got selected after a grueling preliminary round of eliminations where they redesigned the website-53.com

The members of debate society participated in TAFSMUN from 26-18 December 2016 at Airforce School, Subrato Park and won the following laurels.

Shrey Chhabra of X won the High Commendation Award.

Aakrit Bhargava of XI won the first Special Mention Award.

Abhay N. Hari of IX won the third Special Mention Award.

Tagoreans qualified for the national finals of the Reliance National Level Championship

Our football team reached the national finals of the Reliance National Level Championship after competing with 392 schools. We won 3 goals to nil against DPS in the state finals. Arsalan Makhdoomi was awarded the Golden Glove award for being the best goalkeeper. Dhruv Bassi and Sarthak Sharma were Runner’s Up in the Best Player and Maximum Goals Category respectively. The team has been awarded with a cash prize of Rs.50, 000 and will be competing in the National Finals.
