Chirag Kakkar and Manya Kamath won the first prize in storyboard event at DIGEX 2018

Photography festival, DIGEX 2018 was organised by DPS, R K Puram on 12 May 2018. Chirag Kakkar of XII B and Manya Kamath of IX A won the first prize in story board event where they had to form story based on the topic "Me Myself and I" in at least three pictures.

Tagoreans won accolades at Rendezvous hosted by Air Force Bal Bharti School

Air Force Bal Bharti School, Lodhi Road hosted the interschool fest Rendezvous on 09 May 2018.

a)    Aviaansh Goel and Simarpreet Singh of III A won the first prize in poster making competition. They had to design a poster on Delhi Tourism using Word 2013.

b)   U Sai Samhita of class XII A participated in Kavya Path and won the first prize. The participants rendered the writings of renowned hindi poets.

c)    In AD-CLAT, an advertisement enactment competition students had to design their own product and present an ad on it. Abhay N Hari XII D, Aryaman Seth ,Aditya Sharma and Sandeed Farooq of  XII A and Sanjeet Aggarwal of XI A and Krishang Trivedi of class XI D took part and won the runners up position among the competing schools.

d)   Tishya Chandok and Ada Arora of Class V B participated in a creative writing competition where in the students had to work in pairs and write a paragraph on the topic “Two heads are better than one.” Later, the students also had to narrate/ present the paragraph written. Tishya and Ada competed against 15 teams and bagged second position.

e)   Our team of Lavanya Sharma, Dhruv Vasan of IX A, Nasra Yahya , Hardik Juneja of IX C, Shlok Rana of VIII A , Medha Gupta and Pratyush of VIII C participated in Lok Gatha and bagged the third position.

Our students won accolades and were greatly appreciated for their all round performance.

Winners of Shikha Chhabra Rolling Trophy at 'StageKraft' 2018 hosted by Sanskriti School

Thirty five students from classes IX-XII participated in  ‘StageKraft’ 2018, the annual theatre, debate and choreography festival hosted by Sanskriti School, Chanakya Puri on the 12 May 2018.

The students participated in each of the seven events organised by the school , in both Hindi and English. The school sent participants for Parliamentary debate, Nukkad Natak and Stand up Comedy in Hindi, debate, short play, stand up comedy in English and for choreography.

Rishab Khanna of class XI C sent all into peals of laughter with his stand-up comedy in Hindi on reality shows. He bagged the first prize in the event.

Sanjeet Aggarwal of XI A and Abhay N Hari of class XII D, who participated in the English debate were declared the runners up and were awarded a trophy each and certificates.

The team comprising of Prarthana and Bharvi Bhalla of class X A, and Prabhjot Singh, Saumye Gupta, Simran Batra and Aditya Satija of class XI bagged the third prize in the English short play event. They had staged a play on the theme “Robber gets Robbed”.

On the basis of the cumulative scores of twenty five participating schools of Delhi and NCR Region, our school was awarded the Shikha Chhabra Rolling Trophy for being the overall champion school. I am proud to announce that we were declared the overall champion last year too.

Tagoreans won overall trophy at Air Force School, Subroto Park
TAG QUEST 2018 was conducted by the Air Force School, Subroto Park on 10 and 11  May  2018. It included events like debate, tech symposium, math modelling etc.
Our school's debate team comprising of V. Chaitanya, Sanjeet Aggarwal of XI A and Snigdha Soti of XI D were the runners up in the debate around the theme “Culture of Silence”.
Aishani Singh of X A won the third prize in Creatia, the best out of waste competition, and Prarthana of X A won the slam poetry competition.
Our school also won the overall trophy in the competition after cumulative scores of all events were taken into consideration.

Yash Vashishth secured the first position in the quiz competition

A Heritage Awareness Program was organised by Aga Khan Trust for Culture on the occasion of World Heritage Day on 18 April 2018.The program included a guided tour, a quiz competition and workshops on floral painting, art and craft. Yash Vashishth of VIII C secured the first position in the quiz and won a painting kit.

Gayathri Nambiar and  Shreya Dharamrajan bagged the second prize in multimedia presentation competition

Springdales School, Pusa Road organized a multimedia presentation competition during their week long Africa Week Celebrations to mark Afro -Indian friendship and solidarity. The competition involved extensive research and comprehensive presentation. Gayathri Nambiar of XII B and Shreya Dharamrajan of XI B participated in the competition on 26 April 2018. Their presentation on African Music bagged the second prize.

Winners of Smaash Sky Karting at Gurugram

Sky Karting Time Trial Battles which take place twice a year was hosted by Smaash Sky Karting Gurugram on 18 March 2018. Adheet Parashar of  X C and Rattan Prakash Singh of XII B participated in the event. Adheet Parashar won and received the first position in the Kids 13 to 18 yrs category and third place in the Professionals category. Rattan qualified for the finals by securing fourth place in the Amateur category missing out on the top 3 by just a matter of milli seconds. Note here that this sport is usually perceived as a hobby rather than a sport. The professional drivers you see on the track today have all started from the basics of racing and that is karting, so we look forward to Adheet and Rattan making it big in this field.


Saanya Anand won 'Best Original Story' Award at INTACH FILMIT INDIA

Saanya Anand of class IX C has been actively participating in INTACH FILMIT INDIA PROJECT and she showcased some great movies on the theme Heritage of India and won various prizes for the same.This year, for the third consecutive time she has been awarded for  " Best Original  Story" for the film " Natural Dyes“ in January 2018 at Indian International Centre.

Winners of MUN at St. Stephens college

On 01 April 2018, the team of Shrey Chhabra, Kartikey Gupta of XII A and Devarshi Paul participated in a moot court competition held at St. Stephens college. It is a simulation of high court where teams represent prosecution or defence in a case as they would in a real life court. Their case was based on Salman Khan hit and run case and they represented both sides in three rounds. Out of 28 teams, Tagoreans did a clean sweep and won overall runners up trophy. Shrey also won overall second best orator while Devarshi won overall third best orator. Kartikey also bagged the best researcher award. In all, the team bagged cash prizes worth ₹7,000.


Gayathri Nambiar won accolades for essay writing competition
New Era Public School, Mayapuri conducted the R.L Chopra Memorial interschool creative writing competition on 16 November 2017. The book selected this year was ‘The Emerging Feminine’ by Rashna Imhasly Gandhi, based on which students had to write creative essays. The competition was followed by a panel discussion. Gayathri Nambiar of class XI B participated in both. She received a consolation prize for essay on ‘ The role of Archetypes on the increasing number of divorce rates today’.

Pearl Academy Fashion Institute hosted series of competitive events on 11 November 2017. Saumya Bhatia of XI B participated in the dress designing competition and was declared the runner’s up.

Nilesh Goswami & Ayush Batra won accolades in an interschool essay writing competition

An interschool essay writing competition was held in Ramjas School on 03 November 2017 to mark the “vigilant week”. An on the spot essay writing competition was held in which more than 20 schools participated. Participants were asked to write an essay of about 500 words on the topic “Children of today can make a corruption free India” or “Being corrupt is a choice”. Nilesh Goswami of XI B secured the second position, he got a trophy, a merit certificate and a cash price of Rs.750. Ayush Batra of XI A received a certificate and a cash price of Rs 300.

SYNC-Inter School Tech Festival was organised by New Era Public School Mayapuri on  21 November 2017.

Tagoreans won laurels at Aqua Jet demonstration at JNU

Sir Ben Franklin quoted “Energy and persistence can conquer all things”. Our students Aditya Kabu of IX A, Yash Marwah and Harshvardhan Narayan of VIII B proved it right by their Aqua Jet demonstration at JNU. Energy of water was channelized to move a rocket which moved up to 11 m. The students were given a cash prize of Rs 1,000 along with a certificate each.

15th English Language Meet 2017 was held at Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School New Delhi on 11 October 2017. Aditya Choithani of III B, Avaanya Garg and Parthivi Bhatia of III A won the third prize in the poem recitation. They won hearts with the recital of their poem on the topic “Child Labour”

Tagoreans won rolling trophy in Kavi Geet Sammelan at St. Mary’s School

St. Mary‘s School held a Kavi Geet Sammelan on 03  November 2017. The competition had two categories - one where students had to write a poem and present it by putting it into music Abhisumat of XI C, Gayathri Nambiar of XI B and Maanan Sobti of IX C bagged the first position. In the poem translation competition Aryaman Seth of XI A received a special mention for his presentation. The school team also received the rolling trophy for their overall performance.

Budding Artists-Vanshaz K Chaudhary and Gominthang Seldo

Doodle art festival, was organized by Doodle Strokes, headed by founder Mr. Ajit Narayan, famous cartoonist on 25 and 26 November 2017 in our school premises. This fest was sponsored by Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and Camlin Kokuyo. Various prominent artists, specializing in different fields of art, were mentors for different kinds of workshops. There was an immense participation from school students, teachers and parents. An on-the-spot drawing competition was organized in the junior and senior category. Vanshaz K Chaudhary of V A won the second prize in the junior category and Gominthang Seldo of XI B won the third prize in the senior category.

Annual Interschool Origami competition on 12 October 2017

Origami was the most popular event, with students of over twenty five schools displaying their deftness in folding paper into shapes and figures depicting the given theme.

Delhi-based NGO Routes2Roots in association with the Ministry of Culture runs India's largest interactive digital learning platform 'Virsa' to promote and preserve India's rich cultural heritage and legacy of Performing Arts. They organised a competition on 15 August, the competition was about representing your state through music and dance. Khushi Kaushik of IX A won the special prize in the devotional song category. Around 48 schools participated in the competition. She also won the special judge award for her solo bhajan recital.

Feuli Badoni and Rhea Luthra won the first prize in Scratch animation event

Feuli Badoni of V A and Rhea Luthra of VI C participated in the Scratch event at MIMANSA, the computer fest organised by St. Mary’s School on 27 October 2017. Both the girls showcased their creativity skills and designed an animated story on “Impact of Burning Crackers on the Environment” and won the first prize in the event.

Tagoreans bagged first prize in two events at ShriTeq 2017

Annual technology event, ‘ShriTeq 2017’ was held between 09 -11 October 2017 at The Shri Ram School , Moulsari, Gurgaon. Twisha Rastogi of V A, Amber Firdaus and Asmii Bhargava of V B  bagged the first prize in “Light, Camera and Action” event. They had to create video using stop motion technique on the topic “A Day in 2050”

In Scratch animation event, Feuli Badoni of V A and  Sashreek Kumar of V B bagged the first prize.

These five students were awarded with a certificate and an Amazon gift coupon worth Rs.5000 each.

International Utopia MUN was organised by DPS Gurgaon from 26 October to 28 October. Eight students from our school participated.
Shrey Chhabra of class XI A won the High Commendation Award in Security Council.

DPS Dwarka organised an interschool science festival IGNITE on the 24 and 25 October 2017. Vanshika Kathuria of X B secured the first position in the integrated science event “Be like Bohr” Nehal Vijay class XI D and Meghna Bhuyan class X B won the first prize for another event “Chemi con”.

NTSE is the National Talent Search Examination conducted by CBSE/NCERT for class X students. Dishan Bora and Dipankar Jiwani of class XI have qualified in the NTSE stage -2 Scholarship Examination held in May 2017 and are now eligible for scholarship granted by NCERT and CBSE.

Drama Festival at Vasant Valley School

Tagoreans shine at Esya-IIIT Delhi’s Tech Fest
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology organized its Tech Fest-ESYA. About 135 teams participated from all over Delhi.
Our school team comprising of Shreyas Hariharan, Dhruv Sharma and Jashn Anand of XI won the First prize in HUNT IT event. Each one was awarded with a certificate, cash prize of Rs. 2000 and a voucher worth Rs. 5000.
Umang Seth of XII secured the First position in ‘CIRCUITRIX ‘event, a circuit analysis and design competition, where participants had to analyze and design both analog and digital circuits. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5500, and 10 % bonus marks for admission in IIIT.
LiFe Mosaic –an interschool Literary Festival on 22 August 2017
LiFe Mosaic –an interschool Literary Festival was organized by our school. There was a plethora of events in the form of art, music, literature and theatre for students of classes XI and XII. About 12 schools participated in it. There were four events in all and our school bagged the First prize in two events.

Creative School Competition for schools was organized in Special Centre for Sanskrit at Jawaharlal Nehru University on 08 August 2017. Our school participated in two events –‘Bhashan Pratiyogita and Nibandh Lekhan Pratiyogita’.
Sanchit Kumar of VIII bagged the First prize and Chhavi Jain of VIII won the Second prize in ‘Bhashan Pratiyogita’.

Delhi Public School, R K Puram organized a theatre festival called ‘Theatron’ on the 22 July 2017. Six students from classes IX-XI participated in a stage play based on the theme’ The Devil was once an Angel too’. Our team was represented by Bharvi Bhalla of IX A, Prabhjot Singh of X A, Saumya Bhatia of XI B, Kashish Bakshi of XI B, Shaurya Bhardwaj of XI D and Chaitanya Srivastava of XI C bagged the Second position and were awarded a trophy each.

LIBERA MUN- K R Mangalam, Vikaspuri hosted LIBERA MUN on 06-07 May 2017. Shrey Chabbra of XI A was invited in the executive board panel as Vicce President of NPT review conference. He received a letter of recommendation and remuneration of Rs. 2000 for his services.

CROYANCE MUN-Kalka Public School hosted the first edition of CROYANCE MUN from 26-28 May 2017. Shrey Chabbra of XI A was selected as Vice Chairperson of UNGA. His detailed insights on agenda as well rules and procedures helped the delegates. He received a remuneration of Rs. 4000 and a letter of recommendation for his services.

SHIK MUN-The Shikshantar School organized a three day MUN conference from 11-13 May 2017. Satya Dewan of XII B got the Best Photographer Award for her participation in the International press. Shrey Chabbra of XI A and Aakrit Bhargava of XII A were chosen and invited as the members by the Executive board for the UN Assembly. Shrey Chabbra received Rs. 6000 and Aakrit Bhargava received Rs. 3500 as remuneration for their services.

Tagoreans won accolades at MELANGE 2017

MELANGE 2017, a literary fest was organised by Lotus Valley School, Gurgaon. About 35 schools participated in it. Our students won the

prizes in 2 events- Dance and Jab-we-met. The dance was a fusion of Flamingo  and Kathak. It depicted the story on Radha and Krishna with a

spanish touch. The dance was appreciated a lot and our students got the first prize.

Jab-we-met was a team event where there were two participants. One was a character from Hindi literature and other from the English.

Poster making competition, MIND ART was organised by Regional office of South East Asia of World Health organisation. The participants had

to design posters with messages on support strategies to prevent depression and promote positive mental health.

 Manyata Kumar won Student of the Year Award

The Global student of the year Foundation in association with USA UnivQuest felicitated deserving students all over India with the Student of the Year Award for respective cities and the nation. The award aimed at recognizing students who hold leadership positions and have excelled academically as well as in co-curricular activities. Manyata Kumar of XII B won this prestigious Student of the Year Award in Delhi for the year 2016-17.

Tagoreans lift the Overall Winners Trophy at DIGEX 2017 

DIGEX 2017, a photography and movie making competition was organized by Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram on 13 May 2017.

Out of 90 schools all over North India, our school was declared Overall Winner of DIGEX 2017.

In .MP4 (Online Movie Making Competition) a team of four students comprising of Harshdeep Singh, Namya Patiyal, Sahil Chouwdhary and Bodhisatva Sharma of class IX B won the First Prize and were awarded with a camera each.

Indraprastha International School, Dwarka organized their Tech Fest, ION 2017 on 03 May 2017.

In an online presentation making competition, Pre-ontech. Dhruv Sharma of VIII B and Mayank of VII B won First Prize in presentation on virtual reality using Office Sway software.

Springdales School celebrates Africa week, every year by organizing an Inter-school Multimedia competition. This year the event was held on 27 April 2017. More than 25 schools participated and Ishita Rao and Ritvik Mahajan of XI C won the Second position for their presentation on the topic ‘Foreign Aid to Africa – Boon or Bane?’ They received a certificate and a gift voucher of Rs. 750, for full circle café book store.
