The Polaroid Club of Tagore International School, East of Kailash, came back with the second edition of their venture for media literacy, Polaroid 2.0: Digital Media Festival starting 17 July 2021 to 21 July 2021. The festival was organized in collaboration with CHINH India, an early education web channel, and media partner PhotoNest India Pvt Ltd. The festival aimed to encourage and celebrate young filmmakers, budding photographers, and graphic designers, to invigorate students to step out of their comfort zone and experiment with their ingenuity. The Photography competition amassed over 150 photographs from over 40 schools following the themes, ‘Healing with Grace’, ‘Iridescent’, ‘Everything Wide Angle’, and ‘Atypical’, which were all showcased by the participants to the judges in a Google Meet. Ms. Aditi Singh and Mr. Kashu Bhalla, two well-known professionals of the field, judged the event. Manit Arora of Mount Carmel School, Anand Niketan bagged the first position in the Judges Choice category. Manit Arora also won the Viewers’ Choice Award, the voting for which was held on Instagram Polls. A separate segment for teachers was also conducted on the following themes ‘Reflections’ and ‘Sunday Mornings’. The first position in the teachers’ category was won by Ms. Deepica Sabharwal from Indraprastha International School. In the Short Film Competition, 34 teams from 21 schools made short films covering a plethora of genres. The themes for the event were ‘Life Works in Mysterious Ways’ and ‘Even a Broken Clock is Correct 2 Times A Day'. All short films were premiered and screened on YouTube, which gave young jurors from all participating schools the opportunity to become a part of the judging process by casting their votes for the Jury’s Choice Awards. Award-winning filmmakers Ms. Meenakshi Rai and Mr. Vinay Rai were the judges for this event. Digex Team 2 of Delhi Public School, RK Puram won the Best Film Award in both Judges' Choice and Jury's Choice Categories. The club also brought along two freshly baked events, Logo Designing and Music Album Art. The Logo Designing Competition held on 17 July 2021 attracted over 40 participants from about 30 schools. A brief was given to the participants on the spot introducing a food truck that served barbecued desserts. Recognized faces of the discipline, Mr. Arun Gopidas, and Mr. Ayan Kundu judged the submitted artworks. The first position was secured by Raghav Bindal of Sri Venkateshwar International School.
