On Friday, 12 November 2021, Tagore International School, East of Kailash organised its first edition of the long term project #TagGED, joined by 13 schools keen to showcase their ideas for societal well-being , in a hybrid mode. The event was sponsored by organizations upGrad Abroad and Photonest Academy.

The inauguration ceremony started on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the addresses of our principal, Ms Mallika Preman, and the Directors, Lakshika Khurana and Baneet Pukhrambam, who welcomed the participants.

We were also joined by several professionals working in STEM- Mr. Tarun Bansal and Mr. Shubham Gupta, Entrepreneurship- Mr. Kamal Pahuja and Mr. Piyush Khandelwal and Social Welfare- Dr. Livleen Kaur Kahlon and Mr. Sachal Aneja, who also assessed the projects.

The participants were dispersed into their respective links, where they presented their ideas in front of the judges, who inquired further into their research. The judges also narrated anecdotes about their journey of working in their respective fields. The aim was to create an impact while the participants learnt from one another.

After the sessions ended, the participants were welcomed into the closing ceremony, where glimpses of the #TagGED newsletter were teased, along with an address by Senior School Headmistress, Ms. Debjani Mitra. Our respected judges Mr Tarun Bansal and Mr Shubham Gupta shared experiences about the novel solutions being discussed in their sessions. As a vote of thanks, the efforts of entire team of #TagGED were acknowledged.

#TagGED was an extremely successful event, and not only did it help in creating awareness about problems faced by people in their day to day lives, it also left a mark on participants and the organizers, to keep learning and innovating.
