A REPORT ON NSS ACTIVITY PROJECT PRATISHTHA CLASS X B (2022-2023)

The students of Class X B have worked on NSS Project Pratishtha this year. They have worked in groups, seen videos, had discussions in class, met the support staff to enlighten them on how to use a debit card and how to protect themselves from fraud and spread awareness about government schemes and policies. Some schemes they discussed were Pradhan Mantri Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, a saving scheme for the girl child’s future and Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana a national mission to ensure financial services like banking, remittance, pension and insurance. Some of the topics done in class were the difference between Visa card master and Rupay card. They researched and shared their points in class on government schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, types of saving accounts, calculation of rate of interest, difference between a debit card and a credit card, difference between current account and a savings account, mutual funds. They discussed on advantages and disadvantages of both debit and credit cards and over draft facilities. They also took a survey on the school support staff on their knowledge of government policies and schemes and answered their queries from what they had learnt in their NSS class.
