Coming together to bring food relief to Kerala in the wake of floods in the month of August 2018
A collection drive was initiated in school to accumulate material for the lakhs of people who have been affected by the torrential rains and floods in Kerala. The response was overwhelming as everyone donated very generously and we have been able to put together; and send a lot of food and other items which will be useful in the rehabilitation of the people of Kerala. The members of the safety club, collected food items like rice, pulses, wheat flour, sugar, biscuits, spices, coconut oil, first aid material, toiletries and clothes from students of nursery to class 12 as well as from teachers. The quantum of relief material collected was so high that it had to be sent in two lots and could be sent to two organisations; one is the NGO Goonj, and the other to the Office of the District Magistrate in Jam Nagar, New Delhi, who are sending relief material directly to Kerala. It is very gratifying to see the student and parent community contributing so compassionately towards this cause, to bring back some kind of normalcy to the victims of this natural calamity.

Banning of all steel and metal water bottles in school from August 2018
At Tagore International School, we strive to provide a safe environment for our students. Considerable care is taken to make the school a safe haven for your ward. It has been noticed lately that metal water bottles are becoming a threat to the safety and security of our students. Some students have been found throwing these steel bottles at each other, resulting in unpleasant consequences. These incidents have forced the school authorities to ban all steel and metal water bottles hereafter so that the campus continues to be a joyful place for the students.
